A sumptuous piece of living history, this glorious apartment for 4 (and up to 5) is a classic Georgian beauty. Set on the first floor or the ‘Piano Nobile, (which in the mid eighteenth century was the prized main floor showing off the highest ceilings and tallest windows) this handsome 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment, with views of the Royal Crescent and Royal Victoria Park in central Bath, has stunning classical proportions, a wealth of architectural detail, and a luxurious interior.

A handsome façade leads into this lovely home, with an enveloping sense of warmth and elegance in which each room has been thoughtfully decorated. The living room has two floor- to-ceiling shuttered windows looking onto the park. Vast ceilings with original coving lend an abundance of light and a sense of openness. There are two generous sofas to seat up to 6, a TV with DVD and a selection of films. Antique sideboards contain a selection of games and books. In front of a magnificent decorative stone and cast-iron fireplace, is a dining table to seat up to 5.

Wedding doors lead into a fully fitted hand-made kitchen, displaying pretty antique china and decorative detailing on the cupboards. Neatly arranged in a ‘U’-shape, the kitchen has a gas hob, two electric ovens with grill, a large fridge and separate freezer, a microwave and small dishwasher. There is a generous array of china, glass and cookware along with a full complement of cutlery.

The large and impressive Master bedroom is panelled from top to toe and contains a handsome stone and cast iron decorative fire-place, along with two vast floor-to-ceiling windows with their original cast iron balconettes. These glorious east facing sash windows frame a view of pretty gardens, allotments and mature copper beeches in the park and are complete with working shutters and grand-pa pulls, enabling you to open both top and bottom window for air circulation. In this inviting room is a 6’ bed, a pretty antique wardrobe with shelf space and drawers under, with an additional chest of drawers positioned between the windows. A mezzanine accessed by a narrow panelled staircase, leads to an enchanting bedroom space with a single bed, a small chest of drawers and easy chair. A low dividing wall enables you to enjoy all the space and views but is best suited for adults and responsible older children. Under the mezzanine is a lovely period style en-suite, fully tiled in cream stone, with a small corner shower, a generous hand-basin with plenty of storage under, a WC and an additional glass shelf for toiletries.

The second spacious bedroom has been symmetrically arranged with two smart 3’ beds that zip and link to become a 6’ double. Each bed has a generous chest of drawers with tall lamps, and a fitted wardrobe provides plenty of hanging space and overhead storage. Tongue and groove panelling and antique wall lights add a warm period feel. The large sash window has lovely west-facing views over the park.

A graceful period-style bathroom is fully tiled in cream stone with elegant mirrored wall panels. There is a generous hand-basin with storage under, a deep bath with hand-held shower set and a WC.

There is a parking permit for 1 car allowing you to park on the street. Alternatively the Bath Spa train or coach stations are a 15-20 minute walk away.

It's a very pleasant 5-10 minute stroll either through Victoria Park or past Bath's historic architecture to the city centre nearby and there are many museums and galleries en-route, as well as great restaurants, bars and cafes and an array of wonderful shops. The city centre buzzes with life and after a full day you can enjoy a performance at the Theatre Royal, relax in the hot waters of the Thermae Spa, spend the evening at the Komedia comedy club or participate in a number of music and literary festivals. The beautiful Royal Victoria Gardens has a fine botanical garden, covered tennis courts, crazy golf, a huge adventure park for children. A compact 18 hole golf course (The Approach Golf Course) with lovely views of Bath and the surrounding hills is just down the road.

At the top of Marlborough Buildings is Marlborough Tavern, a gastro pub. Around the corner at St. James Square you'll find good local amenities; a newsagents, chemists, coffee shop, Italian deli, organic grocery store, a florist and Cavendish Cooks who supply home-made take away food. At Margaret's buildings there are restaurants and gorgeous boutiques. The nearest supermarket is a Co-op on Julian Road, sainsbury's about 5 minute walk away or Waitrose in the very heart of the city

We were 2 couples ready to explore Bath and part of the Cotswold Pathway. We had a great time. This beautiful flat was a great place for us to have a light dinner and relax after covering a lot of ground in London for 3 days. We enjoyed a beautiful rainbow out the front windows and people watching in the Royal Crescent lawn. The flat was very clean, beds were comfortable and everything needed was available. The only thing we joked that it lacked was enough ice cube trays!

Having decided we would like to spend Christmas in Bath we looked on the internet for suitable properties and were immediately very impressed with your website and the amount of information available. When booking we received full details of the apartment including a floor plan and felt we were dealing with an efficient and quality company. Travelling instructions were comprehensive as well as suggestions for local culture. We had 5 nights at Royal Crescent Prospect and the 4 of us agreed we had enjoyed the best Christmas for a long time. The apartment was spacious, warm and comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for self catering and cooking a Christmas dinner.
We would not hesitate to use Bath Holiday Rentals again.

We, a party of four adults, stayed at the Royal Crescent Prospect in Bath for three nights at the end of November 2017, whilst visiting the Christmas Markets.

The apartment was a charming example of a Bath Town House. It was also very clean, warm, tastefully decorated for the festive season, spacious and comfortable throughout. The kitchen was sufficiently well equiped to prepare a hot meal, if you wanted to eat in and the welcome pack was a lovely touch.

On arrival we were greeted by Sara, who was extremely helpful and took time to show us around the apartment, answer any questions we had and provide us with a file of useful information relating to all things Bath.

The location was ideal for us, providing lovely walks through Victoria Park and around the Royal Crescent, on our way to and from the city centre. There were also several good restaurants within ten minutes walk of the apartment.

We had just one minor problem with a washbasin tap but when reported it was dealt with immediately.

We had a lovely relaxing break in Bath, much of which I attribute to the comfortable accommodation and the prompt and friendly communications /easily accessible support from the BHR staff from start to finish.

We would certainly use BHR again and hopefully revisit the Royal Crescent Prospect

If you're going to stay in Bath then this is your place. The apartment is not only gorgeous but so is the location. You're 5 min walk to fantastic restaurants, shopping and historic attractions or outside the front door is a peaceful morning or afternoon walk thru the Royal Crescent gardens. The apartment itself is simply lovely. Tastefully designed and appointed, it makes you want to make the bed because it looks so lovely with everything beautifully done. The kitchen had everything we needed, it was a little hard to find the laundry room downstairs but honestly, this is the kind of place you want to return to again and again.

Thanks again for everything,

We stayed at Royal Crescent Prospect for a week in July. This was the second time we chose this property as it is such a lovely spacious apartment, with great views from every window. Not too far from anywhere in the city with some great dining options within strolling distance. The parking permit meant that we could leave the car nearby, but there's so much to do in Bath that we didn't use it again until we headed for home. Will we stay there again? You bet we will!
Royal Crescent Prospect Genni - 2017-07-31
“The apartment is elegantly decorated in traditional English style. It's close to the Royal Cresent with excellent view. Alexa and Robert were very helpful. We could have as much information as needed. We had a great time there. Thank you. It's highly recommended. ”

just a short note to say how pleased we were with accommodation. Beautifully finished and very well equipped - simply loved it. Well done.
Royal Crescent Prospect Helen - 2017-05-30
Royal Crescent Prospect was a comfortable and soothing refuge after the trial of our house fire. I enjoyed waking up in the morning and having the lovely and soothing view to the park out the back. The flat was clean and well kept. We were thankful to stay in such a luxurious flat which soothed our frazzled nerves.

This is the second time that we have stayed in this beautiful building, and will definitely be returning next year.

It is in a great location, with lovely views over the crescent. A very tastefully decorated appartment that is so welcoming and comfortable

Just wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed your property. It was beautiful and a great location for us. Well equipped and furnished so beautifully. I enjoyed everything about it. Love the fact it has a separate washer and dryer. Much like home. The front bedroom, though, was a bit noisy due to traffic at night, but after a few days it wasn't too noticeable. I would stay here again. It was clean and well tended to.
Thank you for such a great stay.
Royal Crescent Prospect Margo - 2016-10-23
We had a lovely long weekend at Royal Crescent Prospect. It has a wonderful location at the end of the Royal Crescent, and even on a drizzly day it was a pleasure to sit on the window seat and look out of the sash windows and admire the view. The apartment is spacious and airy, and beautifully furnished. It is a scenic walk along the Royal Crescent, Brock Street and The Circus to the centre of town and we found it to be surprisingly quiet at night. Easy to park on the street with the parking pass provided and less than five minutes walk to The Marlborough Tavern for drinks and a meal. Would love to stay again.

Our family of four had a wonderful stay at Royal Crescent Prospect thanks to Bath Holiday Rentals. This was not the property that we had originally booked, however due to a problem with the booked property, Bath Holiday Rentals offered us this property as an alternative, at no extra charge. Well, to say the least, we were very lucky. Prospect is beautiful and in a perfect location. What more could you ask for in Bath, than to be overlooking the Royal Crescent. The property sleeps at least five comfortably, and is very spacious, bright and clean. It basically has all the luxuries of home, albeit the kitchen is small, but perfectly able to handle meals for a family if you wish to eat in. The laundry facilities are in the basement and are free. I would highly recommend this property and would like to thank Bath Holiday Rentals for the opportunity of staying there.
Royal Crescent Prospect Glenn & Tracie - 2016-04-20
My daughter and I had a lovely stay at Royal Crescent Prospect. The apartment was beautifully appointed and the whole experience with Bath Holiday Rentals was made so easy from start to finish. I would like to thank Robert in particular for his excellent communication and customer service. My daughter and I found him to be such a genuinely nice person and enhanced our stay.

Thank you you once again.
Royal Crescent Prospect August - 2016-03-07
Royal Crescent Prospect is in a great location, an extremely comfortable and beautifully furnished apartment.

The thoughtful extras, such as the Christmas decorations ,and individual soaps, were a nice touch.

We all loved our stay, and hope to book it again next year.
Royal Crescent Prospect Annabel - 2015-12-28
Just wanted to say thank you as we had a lovely stay in Bath. We met Robert to pick up the keys who was very professional, caring and pleasant. The apartment had a superb location and was as per the images online. We would have no problem in recommending Bath Holiday Rentals to others. We would also recommend the apartment as it was perfect for what we required. The people who have their properties with your company should be very proud to have such a professionally run company managing them.

We look forward to staying with you again at some point.
Royal Crescent Prospect Anthony & Louise - 2015-12-09
We have just got home after a wonderful weekend. You have a truly stunning apartment - the girls and I absolutely fell in love with it. It certainly has the wow factor.

Also thank you for leaving the welcome gifts too.
Royal Crescent Prospect Belinda - 2015-11-22
We had a splendid time, thank you, and are looking forward to the next visit. The flat was excellent with everything we needed and exactly where we like to be, close enough to the action but far enough away to be peaceful.
Royal Crescent Prospect Gail - 2015-11-17
It's a truly stunning apartment with a wonderful view, and locates on such central location however with a feel of countryside. It certainly exceeds a 5* rating. We enjoyed our time there so much that we extended our stay. Strongly recommend to anyone who appreciate the quality in life.
