“Fantastic location right in the centre of Bath, midway between the Crescent and the Circus”
“Beautiful, scenic place to stay in Bath. The owner left coffee, cereal, chocolates, etc. Lots of goodies to welcome you. Great place to stay, I totally recommend it!”
We have been very impressed by the quality of the apartment, it was very comfortable and really well furnished, very closed to the center of Bath and we more than enjoyed our stay there. For sure, next time we will come, we will book again through you!
Home manual was comprehensive, greeter on time, parking not too bad, pub around the corner, quiet area. French press supplied, washing machine a bit tricky, 10 min max walking time to central Bath and shops.
This is a great place that’s close to all of the attractions, restaurants, and shopping Bath has to offer but is off the beaten path just enough to provide a really nice respite from the action and the crowds. It’s comfortable and pretty with 2 sitting areas offering big windows and light—the living/sitting room also has a nice view of the little green space below. And while you get plenty of charm and character, the kitchen and bath are modern. The washer/dryer unit came in very handy, and unlike some of the other combination appliances that take several hours to dry one load, this Bosch model worked really well. Even though the bathroom is small, it has a great shower, and there was plenty of space for my stuff. I was only one person, but the apartment layout (door closing off living area, 2nd bedroom, and additional sitting space in the master bedroom) offers some privacy/peace for a party of 2-4 people as well. As far as service goes, I encountered an issue of noise coming from the apartment above, and when I called Alexa the issue was taken care of, in person, literally within 10 minutes.
“A well equipped and clean property. It’s in an ideal place for walking to the main shops and attractions.”
The Oriel, the first floor flat is a very pretty property on an impeccable street, located only 1 1/2 blocks from the incomparable Royal Crescent. The Oriel is adjacent to a beautiful small park, with pleasant bars, pubs, restaurants, and coffee bars, as well as an excellent used book shop a very short distance away. All the peoples we dealt with, welcoming agent, and cleaners were warm, kind people, and could not have been nicer. We were surprised to find parking in the neighborhood for our large rental van, and there was a pass provided with the property for the spot. We walked everywhere during our three day stay, and found the location of the flat excellent. This is an excellent, character filled accommodation. I give my highest recommendation
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Oriel apartment at the end of June! It was located right off the Circus and we walked to the Bath Abbey and Roman Baths within 15 minutes. We had an excellent breakfast/brunch cafe across the street from the apartment and enjoyed a superb dinner at a lovely cafe on the same block. In other words, the apartment is close to everything but located in a quiet neighborhood. The apartment is clean and decorated well and we felt like we had stepped back in time!
This apartment is beautiful, clean, and in a great location! We arrived fairly early in the afternoon, so parking was not an issue for us.
Punctual and professional person to meet us. Everything we needed was in the apartment. It was clean, well situated and organized
“We had a very pleasant six day stay in this well equipped apartment in April 2019. We arrived late in the evening but entry was easy using the key safe provided. The fresh milk in the fridge was much appreciated and the bottle of sauvignon blanc more so ;) The location is close to the Royal Crescent and around 10 minutes walk to the town centre. The parking permit was certainly a plus and we were able to park very near the apartment. We would certainly stay there again.”
Great location for a weekend walking around. Stylish apartment with all you need for a weekend away. Nice touch to leave some breakfast stuff and a bottle of wine in the fridge.”
“Perfect spot for discovering Bath. Well laid out flat, spotlessly clean with lovely little touches like milk in the fridge and muesli / chocolate. Welcome was super efficient and fantastic to have parking permit. Suited us perfectly for two nights as a family of four.”
We rented the Oriel aprtment and it was lovely. Really good location, apartment was very nicely finished and we were greeted by Sara on arrival, who was very helpful. I would highly recommend Bath Holiday Rentals.
Absolutely perfect for our family. Very thoughtful hosts.
Fantastic location for this little appartement with lots of charm. We really enjoyed our stay here with our 2 teens. Alexa was quick to respond with practicalities for a great stay. Would definitely recommend staying there!
Fabulous location, lovely comfortable accommodation.
Great tips for local restaurants etc.
thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend.
Great location, superb apartment. Well equipped, clean and characterful.
Stayed as a family of 5 for 3 nights at February half term. The apartment was clean, well equipped and full of character. Managing logistics with Sara to collect keys etc was friendly and straightforward . We experienced no problems with parking.
Location was fantastic - just around the corner from the Royal Crescent. Easy walk into city centre and to Royal Victoria Park (great playground, even better cafe). Also just round the corner from a small Co-op.
Had a wonderful time exploring Bath. Roman Baths are awesome. Modern day spa also well worth a visit (we didn’t book, just a 30 minute queue). Also went to Longleat for a day out.
Would definitely recommend staying in this apartment.
“The Oriel was as advertised and more. Location was great. Place was clean, tidy, classy, comfortable. We loved the place and we will definitely use this place again.”
“Loved Alexa's flat in bath. A short walk to the centre and the perfect place to see the city from. Would definitely recommend!”
“This is a beautiful apartment in a fantastic location. Tastefully decorated and equipped with everything we needed. Although very central, it was quiet yet within a 2 min walk to cafes, restaurants etc. we made use of the free parking permit which was very helpful as Bath is a busy city. Sara and Alexa were great hosts, very responsive, helpful and attentive. There is a fantastic list of restaurants and things to do which we used a lot. I would highly recommend the apartment - we had a great time. Thank you.”
“Lovely place, quiet neighbourhood. Very clean and great facilities”
We stayed for four nights in Bath. The flat was exactly as shown in the photos. Great water pressure, great internet (unusual during our 20-day stay in Great Britain). Beds were comfortable. Small kitchen with all the amenities. Undersized refrigerator, but very adequate for our needs. One floor up, no lift. Parking was a severe issue. They issued a permit for the area, but spots are very hard to find. We kept the car parked. The flat is about at 15 minute walk to the Roman Baths. One minute to Royal Crescent and The Circus. Walk to Baths is downhill on the way there, up hill but easy on the way home. Several great restaurants very close, including Rustico Bistro (Italian) and The Circus. We would stay here again if we return to Bath
Upscale, delightful apartment within walking distance of town. Very close to hop on & hop off bus stop and The crescent. Helpful hosts. Easy parking. Would highly recommend.”
We stayed at many places during our recent visit to England, and the Oriel was by far the most beautiful and comfortable. The rooms were clean and spacious for me, my husband, and two teenage daughters who each had their own beds, which helps us all sleep better. The beds and bedding were comfortable. The photos are accurate. Our contact met us on time to let us in and tell us about the apartment's features. The kitchen was small but had the necessary components. We didn't cook but used the microwave, refrigerator, and washer/dryer. Loved the giant windows and that they had shutters and drapes to block out the early morning light. It was only about a 10-minute walk to the Roman Baths, Parade Gardens, Pulteney Bridge, Bath Abbey, etc. and only a few minutes walk to places to eat. The only real improvement we suggest is providing fans, because we are used to air conditioning. Fans would have helped us sleep better because there was some street and bird noise when the windows were open. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.
Lovely and luxurious for our family.

We loved our four days in Bath. The apartment is beautiful, and exactly as described in the photos and written piece. The Oriel is in a great neighborhood, located about a 15 minute downhill walk to the Roman Baths/downtown area. The Royal Crescent and The Circus are both within a couple of minutes. Lots of shops and restaurants in the immediate area; we especially enjoyed Bistro Rustico (Italian) and The Circus (Continental). Parking is tough in the designated area, but a car is absolutely unnecessary. We would definitely book again.
A perfectly delightful apartment. I can't say enough good things about this apartment or the host. We were meet promptly with all of the information we could need. It was in a nice little square and just a block from cute shops, cafes, and restaurants. It was a 10 min walk to the Roman Baths and the city center. Lovely stay. Just wished we had planned to stay a few more days.
Exquisite details through The flat. No detail was spared. They had coffee milk wine chocolate cereal
The location was superb. The decor was fabulous. We love the artwork on the walls, fabulous curtains, and chandeliers. You could tell that this apartment is cared for with love. It was our best housing experience in England.
This was a lovely apartment in a perfect location for exploring Bath. It is exactly as pictured. We felt well taken care of with check in easy. Would come again in a heartbeat - as a bonus if you just feel like hanging out its a perfect for that too!
Great little apartment. Well appointed. Sara the greeter was a delight. Great location and walkable to all that Bath offers. Only 15 minute walk across Victoria Park to play area for kids. How do you live with the trash situation in Bath? We ended up using public trash cans outside the apartment because there is no where to put your full trash bags. But overall great stay. Lovely city.
Everything was wonderful, thank you. The flat was in a great location and everything was quite self explanatory. Decor was lovely and parking easy too. So a big thank you.
We would like to thank Bath Holiday Rentals for our lovely stay at The Oriel. We booked all the way from Chile in South America, and couldn't be more pleased with all the process. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures, very clean and comfortable. The location is superb, in a quiet street just a few steps away from the Royal Crescent, parks and shops. Olivia's reception was most welcoming and the folder with suggestions from Alexa where very useful. We enjoyed every moment in Bath and highly recommend booking through Bath Holiday Rentals.
We really loved the apartment - beautifully decorated and furnished, very comfortable, all the amenities you might need (wifi, washer-dryer, dishwasher etc).
We really enjoyed our stay and felt very at home there. If we visited Bath again, we'd definitely book that apartment.
we had a very enjoyable stay at this apartment, the location was great, and the apartment itself is very special. I would recommend your service to any one who is looking for a home away home with five start hotel quality. Your service means quality I would certainly book again through you. Thank you.
This is a new property to Bath Holiday Rentals as of mid May 2016. We welcome your visit and hope you would be the first to write a testimonial.
